Perfect looks for Valentine's Day

When scrubs are a day-to-day norm, nothing is better than getting that new top to throw into the mix. With Valentines Day right around the corner, we have created 3 looks from our Happy Valentines Day Collection that will have you looking great for the special occasion.

Our first look is “My Sweet Love”, shown here in a mock wrap. This scrub top features hearts, flowers, and sweet love notes. Its the perfect choice if you want to look festive, feminine and be comfortable this Valentines Day. The soft pink color will pair perfectly with pink, white or black pants

If you have the day shift on Valentines Day you might want to consider our “Before the Date” scrub top, featured here as a V-Neck. This top features hearts and Minnie Mouse getting ready for a date with Mickey. Its a great choice to help you look festive and remind you of your date planned for later that night (after a quick nap of course). Black, red or white pants are all great options to complete the “Before the Date” look

Our last look for Valentine's day is “Connect The Ducks”. This scrub top has the top half of Donald and Daphne Duck; their bottom halves are dots for you to connect. This a great choice for any nurse working in pediatrics as children will love seeing two of their favorite Disney characters. Pair this top with Black, White, or Red pants for the perfect Valentines Day look!

Recycle Your Old Scrubs

If you are like most nurses, you have accumulated a lot of scrubs over the years. As the pile of retired scrubs
grows in the back of your closet, you need to make a decision on what to do with them. It seems like such a waste to throw them out but what else can you do? Check out these 7 creative ways to breathe new life into your scrubs.

1. Cleaning- Transform your old scrubs by cutting them apart and using them as dusting rags. Considering what your scrubs have faced, dust will be no match.
2. Family Fun- After being washed and worn so much they will makes some of the softest PJs your kids have ever worn. For some extra fun have your kids help you tie-dye them.
3. Pets- Your pets can benefit in multiple ways from your old scrubs. Dog owners can make bandanas out of them by cutting them into triangles. Old scrub tops also make great bedding for animal kennels.
4. Bedding- If you are lucky enough to have a grandma who passed down her quilting skills, cut old scrubs into small quilting cloths and make a pillow or blanket. You can call it your “remember when” project.
5. Picnic basket liners: Line your basket with fabric cut from old scrubs to add a pop of color and catch any crumbs that may fall into your basket. Use this same trick to add to the presentation when making holiday gift baskets. You can even use a small patch of the same fabric to place over a jar lid when sharing your homemade goodies with loved ones.

6. Totes- A total transformation of your scrubs. For help making a tote bag out of your scrubs, see the tote bag Designer Victoris made out of recycled scrubs. Creative inspiration at it’s best!
7. Donate them - Regardless whether you give them to Goodwill or give them to a nursing school, they will be greatly appreciated.

Small Company Big Relationships

Twenty five years ago Anne and George Klus decided it was time to open their own business. They took their experiences in the medical field and opened Trinity Uniforms. When they created Trinity Uniforms they made a conscious decision to put relationships first. Today, Trinity Uniforms is a family run, women owned, small business. Anne currently serves as the President and George is the Vice President. When their son Andrew was old enough, he joined the Trinity Uniforms team. Andrew’s job is to ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly. As a small company, Trinity Uniforms is able to build enduring relationships with current and future clients.

All new clients receive a personal visit from Trinity Uniforms to assist in the purchasing process. During the visit, Trinity Uniforms provides sample scrubs for employees. In many cases the sample scrubs are gifted to the client so that future employees will have sample sizes to try on. To make the ordering process easier, Trinity Uniforms will provide each client with their own custom website. A client’s website will contain only the scrubs they approve. An optional feature of the custom websites is payroll deduction. If a client chooses, they can allow their employees to purchase their scrubs by deducting the fee from their pay check.

Trinity Uniforms is excited about the new relationships and initiatives starting in 2014. Later this year Anne and George will be flying to Costa Rica to assist their first international client. Even the Trinity Uniforms brand got a new look in 2014! Follow Trinity Uniforms on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest and see for yourself. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for updates on Anne and George’s trip to Costa Rica.
